ANTANAS PAPIEVIS
Lituanica in Postal Publications of the USSR
Three Frame Exhibit
Description:
In the Soviet era, the USSR’s post office issued a significant number of stamps on various topics, distributed to touch upon all the union republics to some extent. Notably, certain stamps were directly or symbolically linked to Lithuania, and I am showcasing them in this exhibit. Since 1968, first-day covers have been consistently issued, initially for select stamps and later for each new stamp. I have included these covers in the exhibit as well.
